Environment Canada has released a heat warning for the Halifax area.
Temperatures are expected to reach 33 C during the day. Overnight, those temperatures will drop to lows near 18 C.
"Extreme heat affects everyone," the warning says.
"Reduce your heat risk. Schedule outdoor activities during the coolest parts of the day."
As of Sunday at 4:30 p.m., Environment Canada's weather forecast says the Halifax area will see 33 C on Monday and 34 C on Tuesday.
Every other region in Nova Scotia was also issued a heat warning.
Environment Canada asks people to continue monitoring alerts and forecasts to avoid risk of heat illnesses such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
