Interior Health's mobile vaccine clinics on the road this week - Kelowna News - Castanet.net

Interior Health has announced locations and dates for its two mobile vaccine clinics.

One mobile clinic was at Big White Tuesday and they will be in Peachland Wednesday and Thursday at the Peachland Community Centre - Cousins Park, 4450 6th Street between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

From there the mobile clinic will be off to Okanagan Falls on Friday, June 11 at the IGA parking lot, 5350 9th Ave 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and then in Hedley on Saturday, June 12 at the Hedley Ball Park 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Some of the other locations and times have not yet been determined but a full list is posted here. Residents can simply walk up to the mobile clinics, register, and receive their vaccine without an appointment.

The second mobile clinic was in Cherryville on Tuesday and moves to Lumby on Wednesday, June 9 at the White Valley Community Centre, 2250 Shields Rd. between 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. The next stop is in Coldstream on Thursday, June 10 at Creekside Park, 8101 Kidston Rd. between 7:45 a.m. - 6 p.m.

On Friday, June 11 the mobile clinic pulls into the Okanagan Indian Band at the OKIB Community Hall, 118 Head of the Lake Rd. between 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.

The mobile clinics are open to anyone born in 2009 or earlier who has not yet received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The mobile clinics are targeting smaller communities that do not have their own vaccination clinics like what are operating in larger centres. To receive a vaccine at one of the appointment-based clinics, you can register here.
